WHO IS SAFFRON EZEKIEL SOFIANE?

“Saffron Ezekiel Sofiane” is the pen name of a Dominican-American writer who has been putting their thoughts into words for nearly six years. As someone who is passionate about gender, race, sexuality, and abolition, a big portion of their writings focus on these topics, which are a big part of their identity. As a first-generation, non-binary, and queer child of immigrant parents, one of the main goals that they hope to achieve through their social platforms is to connect with youth whose stories resemble their’s and to reassure them that they are not alone in their unspoken struggles. As someone who has always struggled to find their voice, they understand the challenges that arise with being categorized and expected to fall prey to stereotypes. They hope that their words will inspire people to break these barriers and speak (or write) their way into spaces that often don’t welcome them. Saffron's Writings was created with a mission to give others a taste of the extraordinary thoughts that go through Saffron Ezekiel Sofiane's ordinary mind.
